- Point-to-multipoint Fixed Wireless Access in the 3.7-4.2 GHz C-Band, Andrew Clegg, Google
The 3.7-4.2 GHz band in the U.S. is mostly occupied by fixed-satellite service receive-only earth stations. Wireless internet service providers and others have asserted that this band could be shared by point-to-multipoint systems providing fixed broadband access to homes and business, without interfering with existing earth stations. The FCC has requested comment on such use in their C-band proceeding. This presentation will discuss the technical factors related to sharing and will provide initial details on a proof-of-concept deployment.
