SDR/SCA Development Tools Workshop

Wednesday, 16 March 2016

A significant challenge facing the software defined radio industry is the ever increasing complexity of software development and its underlying dependence upon specific processor technology, i.e. GPP, GPU, DSP, FPGA.  In many cases the algorithm may be the same but must be implemented differently for a specific processor technology.  This workshop focuses on 2 opportunities for Model Driven Development (MDD) in the software defined radio industry: Techniques for Efficient Porting (Developing) of Waveform Applications Between (For) Embedded Heterogeneous Platforms; Transitioning Waveform Applications and SDRs  from SCA 2.2.2 to SCA 4.1. Invited presenters in the workshop will be presenting their tools and methodologies to increase the productivity of the SDR development community. Participants in the workshop will gain an understanding of the current state of the art for SDR software development tools and methodologies  and their future direction.
