Joe Madden

Joe Madden has worked in mobile technology, focused on radio access networks, for twenty years. He served as General Manager of STI and as VP Marketing at Spectrian, directing wireless business for each company. He has survived two mergers, an IPO, an LBO, and a fab divestiture. Mr. Madden holds a degree in physics from UCLA and an executive MBA from Stanford University. He founded Madden Consulting in 2002, and changed the name to Mobile Experts when the company developed into a network of experts with complex analytical projects. As Principal Analyst at Mobile Experts, Mr. Madden has:

• Led development of a radio "link budget" and throughput analysis for the Verizon LTE rollout
• Directed a multi-vendor collaborative project to model predict handset battery life based on complex RF models
• Advised more than 30 companies and venture capitalists on their entry into the wireless market
• Published numerous reports on the market for multi-standard mobile infrastructure, distributed antenna systems, remote radio heads, mobile network offloading, and femtocells
